    Timeless Renaissance: Italian Drawings from the Alessandro Maggiori Collection
    Hallie Ford Museum of Art (700 State Street)
    Features 75 drawings from the 16th and early 19th centuries that were only recently rediscovered and have never been exhibited before outside of Italy. Organized by Professor Ricardo De Mambro Santos, the exhibition offers a fascinating glimpse of Count Maggiori as an art collector as well as the cultural and historical importance of his collection during the Napoleonic occupation of Italy.

    Good Vibrations Street Fest & Music Tour

    July 17 | Starts at 7pm

    Downtown Salem will be the hot spot Saturday night July 17th! As part of the Good Vibrations Motorcycle event going on in the greater Salem area July 16 -18, Go Downtown Salem will be hosting the Saturday night event with Good Vibrations StreetFest and Music Tour.

    The event kicks off on Chemeketa Street between Liberty and Church Streets at 7 pm. The StreetFest includes; a ride in show with a beauty and ugly bike contest, live music at 8 pm by the Gary Burford Band with Beth Poole on horn, and fire dancers by Oregon Fire Conclave taking stage at 9 pm. The Burford Band is no stranger to motorcycle events having played at the 75th Anniversary of Sturgis, the Daytona Bike Week, and other bike events. Straight form New York Pizza will have the pizza and beer garden and a wine bar will also be available.

    People can vote for their favorite beauty or ugly bike by money votes. Proceeds will benefit Go Downtown Salem (a non profit organization) for the continuation of live music events. Trophy plaques will be awarded for the top winners.

    At 10 pm the music continues with the start of the Music Tour where 6 downtown locations will have live music until midnight. MaGoos Sports Bar at 275 Commercial St. SE, Brown's Towne Lounge at 189 Liberty Street NE., Capitol City Theater at 189 Liberty St. NE second floor, Coffee House Cafe at 135 Liberty St. NE, Willamette Noodle Company at 380 High Street NE., and Jonathans at 136 High St. SE.

    Chemeketa Street will be closed between Liberty and Church and available for motorcycle staging. Security will be provided at the motorcycle staging area until 12:30 am.
